Working out of Kankinara at the 507 Army Base Workshop is different from your usual office job. We are based at Det Bwg Quality, right in the 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. It’s an old area with a lot of history in the buildings. The air here is often heavy and humid, especially during the monsoon months. We spend our days dealing with various bits of equipment and making sure everything is up to the standard needed. It’s not a glamorous spot, mostly just concrete and metal, but it’s where we get things done. The address is quite a mouthful to say, but for us, it’s just the place we show up to every morning. We drink a lot of tea while we look over the schedules. It's a lot of manual checking and making sure numbers match up. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but that’s part of the deal. We aren't some big city firm with glass walls. We’re in the middle of a working workshop area. It’s noisy, dusty, and there’s always something being moved around. People here are straightforward. We don't use big words or try to impress anyone. We just focus on the task at hand. It's a steady rhythm, and even though it's hard work, there's a good feeling at the end of the day when things are sorted out. It's just how we operate at the workshop.
