Our office is located at Ca95 in Sector 1 of Salt Lake City, right here in Kolkata 700064. If you know the area, you know how organized the sectors are, but it still feels like a busy part of town. The building we are in has been here for a good while. Inside, our space is pretty typical for a Kolkata office. We’ve got some desks that have seen a lot of use and shelves packed with books and papers. The air conditioner works most of the time, though it makes a bit of a rattle when it’s humid out. We usually spend the day juggling different tasks. Sometimes it’s quiet and we can just get through our lists, and other times it feels like three people are trying to talk at once. We drink a lot of chai throughout the day, usually ordered from the stall just down the road. It’s a big part of how we keep going. The walk from the main road to the office is nice because of the trees, but it gets a bit crowded during the rush hours. We’ve been in this spot long enough that the security guards and the neighbors all know us. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our daily routine and we like the familiarity of the Salt Lake streets. We just show up and do the work. It is a straightforward place where we get through the week together.
