Our factory is located out on the Khindora G T Road and you can usually smell it before you see it because of the salt. Making kala namak is a very specific kind of work that involves a lot of heat and smoke from the kilns. It is not the kind of job for someone who likes to stay clean all day because the black salt gets everywhere. We have been at this Khindora location for quite some time and the building itself has seen better days but it works for what we need. The trucks are constantly pulling in and out from the G T Road which makes the whole place shake a little bit when the heavy ones go by. Inside it is mostly just the sound of the grinding machines and the workers moving the heavy bags around. We don't have a big front office or anything like that. If you come to visit you will likely find us in the back near the loading area checking the quality of the latest batch. The air is thick with that sulfur smell that comes with the salt but we are used to it by now. It is a tough business and we spend a lot of time just managing the raw materials and making sure the furnaces are running right. Khindora is a busy stretch and being right on the main road helps with getting the salt out to where it needs to go.
