At Vestal Battery, things are pretty much exactly how you’d expect a battery shop to be. We are located in Sector 9 at number 18. The place usually smells a bit like lead and chemicals, and there are heavy black batteries stacked up along the walls. It’s heavy work, moving these things around all day. Most of our time is spent checking voltages or putting batteries on charge. It’s not a quiet job. We have chargers humming in the corner almost all the time. The floor is concrete and probably has a few stains from over the years. We don't have a showroom with fancy displays. People come to us when their car won't start or their backup power at home fails. It’s an essential thing, even if it isn't very glamorous. Sector 9 is a busy area, but our little spot stays focused on the technical side of things. We get our hands dirty every single day. Sometimes we have to explain to someone why their old battery can't be saved, which isn't always fun. But that’s the business. We keep a ledger of who bought what and when. It’s a lot of manual tracking and heavy lifting. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the batteries we sell actually work when they are supposed to. It's a simple, honest way to make a living.
