Shyam Lal & Sons

Our place, Shyam Lal & Sons, is situated right on Dadri G T Road. It’s a busy spot because of all the trucks and cars passing by all day long. My father started this long ago, and now we all help out. The name has been there for years, though the paint on the sign is fading a bit. We do a bit of everything here. It’s more of a general spot where people stop by for their daily needs. The G T Road is always noisy, so we have to talk a bit louder sometimes. We’ve got stacks of goods piled up, and sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for. We don’t have fancy shelves or a computer system for tracking everything. We mostly remember where things are or write them down in a ledger. People from the nearby villages often stop here on their way to the city. It’s a practical kind of business. We see the same faces every week, which is nice. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the front door, but we just put a bucket there and keep going. We aren’t trying to be a big supermarket. We’re just a family-run shop on a busy road trying to be useful to the people who live and travel through Dadri. It’s just how we’ve always operated, and we plan to stay here for many more years.
