S.S. Engineering Works

We have been running S.S. Engineering Works out of B-9 in Sector- 64 for quite a long time now. If you walk by our place, you will likely hear the sound of the heavy machines before you even see the door. It is not a quiet environment by any means. Most mornings start with the sound of the big metal shutters being pulled up and the smell of grease hitting the air. We have got a few old lathes and drills that have seen better days but they still get the job done just fine. The floor is usually covered in metal shavings and we spend a good chunk of our Friday afternoons sweeping it all up. Our shop is not one of those fancy places with air conditioning or a front desk. It is just a big room where we work on whatever parts people bring in. Sometimes a neighbor from another shop in Sector- 64 stops by because they need a tool sharpened or a small bracket welded together. We usually have a pot of tea going in the corner and anyone who comes in is welcome to a cup if they are not in too much of a hurry. It gets pretty hot inside during the summer months when the machines are all running at once. We do our best to keep things moving along even when a motor burns out or we run out of a certain size of bolt. It is just a regular life for us here, making things and fixing things day after day.
