Our shop, Sailla Furniture, is located at C64 in Sector 51. It’s more of a workshop and storage space than a fancy furniture store you’d see in a mall. We mostly focus on making pieces that last. There’s usually a lot of sawdust on the floor and the smell of wood and glue in the air. We’ve got a few guys who have been working with wood for decades. They know their way around a saw and a lathe. We don't really go for those trendy designs that break after a year; we just make solid tables, chairs, and cabinets. Sometimes people come in with a specific idea of what they want for their home, and we see if we can put it together for them. It’s a bit noisy during the day with all the cutting and sanding going on. The address in Sector 51 is easy enough to find if you're in the neighborhood. We don’t really have a big sales team. Usually, if you stop by, you’ll just talk to one of the guys actually making the stuff. It's a practical way to run things. We keep the inventory moving, though sometimes the back gets crowded with finished orders waiting for pickup. We’ve been at this for a while and we just like making things that people can actually use in their houses without them falling apart.
