Aastha Furniture

If you go down into the basement at C-5 Sector 10 in Gautam Budh Nagar, you’ll find Aastha Furniture. It might seem like a strange place for a furniture shop, being underground and all, but it actually gives us a lot of room to store things. The air usually smells like sawdust and wood polish. We spend our time putting things together or showing people what we have in stock. It’s not a bright, shiny mall store. It’s a bit dimly lit and there’s always a bit of dust on the floor, but that’s because we are actually working here. We handle all sorts of tables, chairs, and cupboards. People from around the sector know they can just walk down the stairs and see what we’ve got. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us and our tools. Sometimes we fix up old pieces and other times we sell new stuff. We like the fact that people can come in and touch the wood and see how solid things are. It’s a practical business. We don't try to talk anyone into buying something they don't need. We just show them what’s available and let them decide. It’s quiet down here in the basement, away from the street noise, which lets us focus on the work at hand. Sometimes we even lose track of whether it's day or night outside, but the furniture keeps us busy enough.
