S. K. Engineering Works

We’ve been at B-28 in Sector-10 for a while now. It's a busy spot, mostly filled with machine noise and the smell of metal shavings. I usually get here early to open up the shutters before the sun gets too high. Some days it’s just dealing with small repairs, and other times we have bigger projects that take up the whole floor. It’s not a fancy place, mostly just workbenches and the equipment we’ve picked up over the years. People stop by when they need something fixed or made, and we just get to it. Sometimes the tea guy comes around and we take a quick break, but mostly the machines are running. We don't spend much time on paperwork or computer stuff. If you walk past B-28, you'll see the stacks of raw materials out front. It gets dusty, and the floors are never really clean, but that’s how a shop like S. K. Engineering Works stays. We know the neighbors around here well. It’s a lot of physical work, lifting heavy parts and making sure the measurements are right. Sometimes a job takes longer than we thought because a tool breaks or the power cuts out for a bit. That’s just how it goes in an industrial sector like this one. We keep the doors open and just keep working through whatever comes through the door each morning. It’s a steady life for everyone here and we don't complain about the grind.
