Prolific Engineers

Prolific Engineers is over at D-91 in Sector 2. It’s a pretty plain building, easy to miss if you aren't looking for the number on the gate. We’ve been here for a while now, doing engineering work. It’s mostly just metal, tools, and some greasy floors. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting room. If someone comes by, usually one of the guys just wipes their hands and goes to see what they need. It’s a working shop. We spend most of the day cutting, welding, or measuring things. The noise from the machines is constant, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard over the grinders. We have a small office in the corner where the paperwork happens, but nobody likes staying in there for too long. We prefer being out where the actual work is. The neighborhood is full of other shops like ours, so it always sounds like construction is going on nearby. We have our routine. Start early, take a tea break around ten, and keep going until the sun starts to go down. It’s a simple way to make a living. We aren't trying to be the biggest place around, just a steady one that stays busy. That is really all there is to know about us. We just work with our hands and the machines we have to get through the day.
