Pneumatic Engineers & Fabricators

At Sector 2 B-100, you will find Pneumatic Engineers & Fabricators. It is a workspace that smells like burnt metal and heavy grease. We have various welding machines and air compressors that take up a lot of the room. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks here and there from moving heavy equipment over the years. We spend our time cutting metal, joining parts together, and checking valves. It is not the kind of place where you would want to wear nice clothes. Most of us have uniforms that are pretty stained by the end of the week. Being in Sector 2, we are surrounded by other workshops, so there is always the sound of hammers or grinders in the background. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the steel pipes and sheets leaning against the walls. We don't have a fancy showroom; if you want to see what we do, you just look at the benches where the work is happening. The fans on the ceiling try their best to move the air around, but it still stays pretty stuffy. We have got a small corner for water and a place to sit during lunch. It is hard work and it is often loud, but it is what we know how to do. We just focus on getting the fabrications right and making sure the pneumatic lines are holding pressure like they should for our customers.
