Pankaj Pan Bandar

Pankaj Pan Bandar is located on Main Najafgarh Road 1, right in the Indira Park Raj Rani Market. Because we are on such a major road, there is a lot of noise and smoke from the buses and cars all day long. It’s a tiny shop, but it’s in a very good spot for catching people as they head home. We have everything you’d expect at a pan stall, from the different leaves to the various sweet and plain fillings. Pankaj is usually there himself, sitting behind the counter and preparing orders. We also keep a small selection of cold drinks in a fridge that hums loudly in the corner. The market is always busy, and there’s a lot of foot traffic from the nearby residential areas. We get a lot of truck drivers and commuters who just want a quick pan before they continue their journey. The counter is often a bit stained with the ingredients we use, but we try to keep it as tidy as possible. We’ve been here for several years and have watched the road get busier and busier. It’s a simple business but it keeps us on our feet from morning until late at night. We don't have any fancy mission; we just provide a service to the people passing by this busy intersection every day. It’s just us and our little stall in the middle of all that traffic.
