Modern Tent & Caterers

In Sector 29, at house number 11, things can get pretty chaotic depending on the season. We deal with tents, poles, big cooking pots, and stacks of plastic chairs every single day. Most of our time is spent checking the fabric for holes or making sure the metal pipes for the frames aren't bent or rusted. When there’s a big event coming up, the yard is full of workers loading things onto trucks and checking lists. It’s a noisy business with all the clanking of metal and people shouting directions to the drivers. We have a small office where we keep the bookings, but we are rarely sitting in there for long because there is so much to do outside. The catering side means we have a lot of big stoves and gas cylinders tucked away in the storage area. Everything smells a bit like woodsmoke and spices sometimes. We don't have a fancy showroom; people usually just come by to look at the photos of previous setups we have done or to talk about the food menu. It’s a lot of hard work, especially when the weather is bad and we have to worry about the tents staying up in the wind. We spend a lot of time cleaning the plates and spoons after they come back from a party. It’s not glamorous, but it is what we do for a living. Every day is different.
