New Prem Tent House

New Prem Tent House is located right by the Sector 51 Red Light in Hoshiyarpur. Being near the red light means there is always a lot of honking and traffic right in front of us. We have a lot of stuff to move, mostly big iron frames and rolls of colorful cloth for tents. You can usually find us dragging things across the floor to get them ready for the trucks. When the season is busy, we are working almost all night to get everything sorted. The warehouse space is tall but it fills up fast with all the chairs and tables we have. Sometimes the cloth gets a little dusty from the road, so we have to shake it out before it goes out. It is a lot of physical labor and we are often tired by the end of the day. We have been at this Hoshiyarpur spot for quite a while so the neighbors know us well. We don't really do much advertising; people just see our sign when they are stuck at the traffic light. It is a straightforward business with no frills. We just make sure we have enough rope and that the poles aren't bent. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it’s quiet, just watching the cars go by until the next job comes. It is a lot of work but we have gotten used to the rhythm of it.
