Working at Minda Silca Engineering Pvt.Ltd. means spending our days in Toy City. It sounds like a fun name for a place, but Ecotech III in Greater Noida is mostly just a lot of factories and engineering shops. Our address is Plot No. 37, and it’s a fairly standard setup for this part of Uttar Pradesh. The roads are wide and the buildings are mostly grey and functional. Inside our plot, it’s all about the engineering work. We have a lot of different people coming in to handle various parts of the process. It’s a bit more organized than some smaller shops, but it still has that feel of a place where things are actually built. The commute out to Greater Noida can be long for some of us, but once we’re here, the day goes by pretty fast. We don't really do the whole corporate mission statement thing. Instead, we just focus on the engineering tasks at hand and try to make sure nothing breaks down. The lunchroom is usually where you hear the real talk about how the machines are running or what’s happening in the news. It’s a regular job for regular people. We’ve been at Plot 37 for a while, and we’ve seen the area grow quite a bit. Despite all the changes outside, the work inside Minda Silca Engineering stays pretty much the same. It’s mostly just about the metal and the math every single day.
