Mac Well Machinery

Our workshop is over in Sector 8, at C-52. It’s a pretty standard industrial block, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly shelves of parts and a few workbenches where we pull things apart to see why they stopped working. We’ve been around for a few years now, mostly focusing on the mechanical side of things. It’s the kind of place where your hands are always greasy. We spend a lot of time looking at manuals or trying to figure out a workaround for an old machine that doesn't have parts anymore. It’s not a high-tech setup. We have the basic tools and a few lathes that have seen better days but still run true. People bring in equipment that’s broken down, and we take a look at it. Sometimes we can fix it right away, and other times we have to wait for something to arrive in the mail. We don't promise miracles; we just tell people what we think is wrong and what it’ll take to get it moving again. The guys here have been working with engines and gears for a long time. We talk about sports or the weather while we work. We have a small fridge in the corner for lunches, and there’s always a stack of old newspapers sitting around. Sector 8 is a good place for us because there are other shops nearby if we need a specific bolt or a piece of steel. We just try to get things fixed so people can get back to their jobs.
