Ajmeri Gate is always a mess of people and carts, and that's where you'll find Himani Plastics at Shop No 209. It’s a tight fit inside, mostly because we have so much stock piled up near the ceiling. We deal with all sorts of plastic items, from containers to tubes and whatever else comes in the shipments. The morning starts with navigating the narrow lanes to even get to the shop door. If the delivery truck is late, we just sit on a plastic crate and talk to the guys from the next shop over. It’s a busy atmosphere with a lot of shouting and horns honking outside. Inside the shop, it’s a bit quieter but still crowded. We spend a lot of time counting items or moving boxes around to find what a customer needs. There isn't much room for a desk, so we just use the counter for everything. It’s an old building, so the walls have some cracks and the floor is a bit uneven, but it works for what we do. We’ve been here in Ajmeri Gate for quite a bit now, so we know the local chai wallah and the other shopkeepers pretty well. It’s just how life goes in this market. You get used to the pace and the way things move. We stay open until the market starts to quiet down, then we lock up and do it all over again the next morning.
