GREEN TECH

Our office is up on the second floor of C-137 in Sec-10. It is a climb up the stairs every morning, which definitely keeps us awake. The building is one of those standard ones you see all over this sector, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, we have our desks set up near the windows so we can see what is happening on the street below. There is a small pantry area where the kettle is always plugged in because we drink way too much coffee to stay focused. The floor is that grey tile that shows every footprint, so we are always reminding each other to wipe our shoes. It can get a bit cramped when we have a lot of paperwork spread out, but we make it work. Most of the other businesses in this block are quiet, so we don't get much noise except for the occasional car horn or the sound of the lift next door. We keep the files in some old metal cabinets that squeak every time you open them. It is just a regular office life here in Sec-10, where we spend eight or nine hours a day typing away and talking to people on the phone. Sometimes we go downstairs to the small shop on the corner to get snacks in the evening. It’s a practical space and it serves us well enough for what we do.
