Star Welding

If you come down to E Block in Sector 5, you will find Star Welding at shop number 107. You will probably hear us before you see us because there is always the sound of grinding metal or the hum of the welding machine. We spend most of our day behind those dark masks, fixing iron gates, window grills, or sometimes just welding a broken leg back onto a metal chair. It is hot work, and the shop is usually covered in a bit of soot and metal dust. We have been in this E Block spot for quite some time now. People bring us all sorts of odd jobs. One day it might be a heavy frame for a factory and the next day a small hinge for a kitchen cabinet. We don't have a showroom or anything like that. The front of the shop is just where we lean the finished pieces of ironwork. We use simple tools and an old welding transformer that has never let us down. My hands are usually stained with grease, and that is just part of the job. We don't promise things will look like they came out of a high-end furniture store, but we make sure the joints are strong and won't break. Most of our customers are locals who just need something fixed properly without any fuss. We just charge for the labor and the material we use.
