Imran Musical Repairing Center

If you go down to Basai Enclave and look for 513/3, you will find our little shop. We spend our time fixing musical instruments. It is a specific kind of work that requires a lot of patience. Sometimes a string is snapped or a piece of wood has cracked, and we have to figure out how to make it sound right again. The shop is full of different parts and tools that we have gathered over the years. It isn't very organized to look at, but we know where everything is. You might hear someone testing a harmonium or a guitar while you walk past. It is a quiet street mostly, until we start testing the equipment. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have learned how to handle these things with our hands. People bring us instruments that have been in their families for years, and we try to be careful with them. It is satisfying when an old instrument finally makes a clear sound again after being broken for a long time. We don't do any big marketing or have a fancy website. People just find us by word of mouth or by seeing the sign in the enclave. We just stay busy with our repairs and keep the music going as much as we can. It's what we know how to do best, day after day, year after year.
