General Mills India Pvt. Ltd. (Pillsbury)

We are up here on the 8th floor of the Alpha building on Main Street. It’s a busy spot for General Mills India. Most days are spent looking at Pillsbury flour and dough recipes. We’ve been here for a while now. Some of us start early, around 8, to get the machines going or check the latest batches. It’s mostly just a group of people making sure the flour gets packed right and things taste the way they should. You can see a lot of the city from the windows up here, which is nice when you need a break. We deal with a lot of paperwork too, more than you’d think for food. There’s a kitchen where we try things out. It gets pretty warm in there when the ovens are on. We aren't trying to be fancy, just getting the work done. The elevator sometimes takes forever, but that's just part of being in this building. We talk a lot about grain quality and how the weather affects the wheat. It sounds boring to some, but it's what we do every single day. We keep the shelves stocked and the bags moving. Most of the time, we are just focused on the next shipment. If you walk by the office, you might smell something baking, depending on what the team is testing that afternoon. It's just a regular workplace where everyone knows their job and tries to stay on top of the schedule.
