Our workshop is set up on Plot No 172 over at Fareen Farmhouse in Surajpur. It’s quite a large space, which we need for all the equipment and materials we keep on hand. We are pretty close to the Yamaha Factory and the Police Line, so there’s always some activity in the area. Greater Noida has grown a lot since we first moved here. The shop floor is usually covered in metal shavings and there’s always a smell of grease and burnt oil in the air. That’s just part of the job. We have a few guys working the machines every day, and it can get pretty loud when everyone is going at once. It’s not the cleanest place in the world, but we get the work done. The office is just a small partitioned area in the corner where we keep the blueprints and the phone. Sometimes the power goes out for an hour or two, so we just take a break and sit under the trees outside. It’s a practical operation. We don’t have a big reception area or anyone to greet you at the door. You usually have to walk in and find someone in the back. We focus on the engineering side of things and making sure the parts are right. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it a long time at this Surajpur plot and we plan to stay here for a lot longer.
