Bhawana Engineering Works

Bhawana Engineering Works is located at C-274, Sector-10. It is a standard industrial plot like many others in the area. We have a heavy iron gate that stays open most of the day to let the air circulate. Inside, there are mostly metal shavings on the floor and that sharp smell of welding in the air. We have been in Sector-10 for a while now, and we know most of the other workshop owners on this block. It is a lot of hard, physical work. We do not wear suits or sit in air-conditioned offices all day. Usually, we are out on the shop floor checking on the machines or moving heavy iron parts around. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the work always comes first. We have a small corner with a wooden table where we handle the billing and the phone calls. It gets pretty noisy when the grinders are going, so we have learned to talk over the racket without thinking about it. Lunch is usually brought from home in tiffin carriers and eaten quickly so we can get back to the machines. There is always a rush to finish a job before the day ends. We are not trying to be anything fancy. We just do the engineering work that comes our way every morning. (240 words)
