The shop at 4 Sector 5 Harola has been our base for a long time. Aakash Art House isn't much more than a few rooms filled with framing supplies and canvases stacked against the walls. Most days involve cutting wood or glass and trying to keep the dust off the finished pieces. It gets a bit cramped when more than two people walk in at the same time. We don't really have a showroom, just a counter where we take orders and a messy back area where the work happens. The neighborhood in Harola stays busy, so there’s always some noise coming in from the street. We usually have a radio playing in the background to keep things from being too quiet. Some of the tools we use are pretty old, but they still do the job fine. We aren't really big on decorating the place, as we're too busy with the actual work. Coffee cups usually end up sitting on top of scrap piles. Sometimes we run out of a certain type of wood for the frames, and we just have to tell folks to wait a few days. It’s a simple way of doing things. We don't have any big corporate plans or anything. We just open the door in the morning and see what needs to be framed. It’s a steady life here in the sector. We like it this way because it’s quiet enough to focus on the details.
