Sriramsagar Women Farmer Producer Company Limited

Our office for the Sriramsagar Women Farmer Producer Company Limited is tucked away in Balkonda. We operate out of the Mahila Samakya Bhavanam, which is right near the back side of the Junior College. It is a good location because it is quiet and away from the main road noise. The building is a place where many of the local women feel comfortable. We spend a lot of our time here talking about the different crops and how the rains are affecting the harvest. We don't have a big corporate structure. It’s mostly just us working together to make sure the farmers in our group get a fair deal. You might find some of us sorting through grain or just sitting in a circle having a meeting about the next planting cycle. The walls are simple, and we have the basic furniture we need to get the paperwork done. It’s a practical spot. Being behind the college means we see the students passing by, but inside, we are focused on agriculture. We’ve been working out of this Bhavanam for a good bit now. It’s our base for everything we do in the Balkonda area. We don't try to look important; we just focus on the actual work of being a producer company. It's a slow but steady process for all of us here, dealing with whatever challenges the seasons bring our way.
