We are located at 11/35 in Geeta Colony, which is on the eastern side of Delhi. Vfs Global Services Pvt. Ltd. operates from the 3rd floor of this building. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of shops and people living close together. To get to us, you have to walk up the stairs since the building is older and doesn't have a lift. It’s a bit of a workout every morning before the shift starts. The office is one of those places where space is at a premium. We have desks tucked into every corner to make sure everyone has a spot to work. It gets quite loud because the street noise from Geeta Colony comes right through the windows. We’re mostly dealing with documents and computer work all day long. There’s always a lot of sorting and filing to be done, and it feels like the piles of paper never really go away. We have a small corner for water and a kettle for making tea. The staff here is a mix of people from all over Delhi. Some come from quite far away on the bus. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a door with a small sign. We focus on getting through the applications and the data entry without making mistakes. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we just get on with it. By the time we leave in the evening, the market downstairs is in full swing and the streets are very crowded.
