Our office is over in Tilak Nagar at 20A/34B. It’s a pretty well-known spot in New Delhi-110018 because of all the people coming through for their visa applications. If you’ve ever been to this part of Tilak Nagar, you know it’s always crowded and there’s a lot going on. Inside, we are basically just a group of people checking passports, taking fingerprints, and making sure every box on the form is ticked correctly. It’s a lot of repetitive work, and it can get a bit stressful when the queue gets long or someone is missing a document. We don't have time for much else besides processing the files as they come in. The building itself is just a standard Delhi structure, and we spend most of our hours under the tube lights. We see all kinds of people, from students going for studies to families visiting relatives. Sometimes we have to explain the same rules over and over, which can be tiring, but it’s just part of the job. We try to keep things moving so no one has to wait longer than necessary. It isn't a glamorous place, just a functional centre where the main goal is to get the paperwork done so it can be sent for a decision. It’s a busy, practical environment with no room for extras. We just focus on the stack of files.
