Stone World India

Stone World India is situated at No. 70 Kirlokri, which is near the Maharani Bagh area. It is a bit of a contrast because Maharani Bagh is quite fancy, but Kirlokri is much more grounded and busy with small shops and trades. We deal with all sorts of stone here. The yard at number 70 is usually packed with different types of slabs that we get from different parts of the country. It is a heavy business, quite literally. We spend the whole day moving pieces of rock that weigh a lot. You have to be careful with your toes and your fingers every single day. We do not have a marketing team or anyone like that. It is just us here, answering questions and showing people the different textures of the granite or marble we have in stock. Some days are slow and we just sit by the entrance watching the traffic go by in Kirlokri. Other days are a total rush with people wanting things delivered immediately. We just take it as it comes. The stone is cold to the touch in the winter and gets quite hot under the sun in the summer. It is just a regular life of working with what the earth gives us. We do our work, drink our tea, and close the gate when the light starts to fade. It is a decent way to spend the day for us.
