Aggarwal Marble & Sanitary House

We've been here at Shop No 15 in Ram Nagar for a good while now. Being right on the Main Najafgarh Road means it gets pretty noisy with the trucks and all that, especially since we're just opposite Narain Dharm Kanta. Most days start early, opening up the shutters and dusting off the marble slabs because the road dust gets everywhere. It’s hard work moving these heavy pieces around, but someone’s got to do it. We get folks coming in from all over Nangloi looking for bathroom stuff or floor tiles. Sometimes they know exactly what they want, and other times they just stare at the piles of stone for an hour. It’s mostly just us here, keeping track of what’s in stock and making sure the deliveries don't get messed up. We don't have any fancy office or anything, just a desk and some chairs where we talk to customers. There’s always tea being made somewhere in the back. It’s just a regular shop where we try to keep things organized. If you’re driving down the road, you can’t really miss us because of the stacks of tiles outside. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, more shops popping up and the traffic getting worse every month. But we’re still here, doing the same thing every day and hoping the inventory counts actually match up for once at the end of the week.
