Shanti Stones & Granite

We run Shanti Stones & Granite out of our spot at B-219 in Gk-1. It’s a place we’ve been using for a good while to keep our inventory and meet with folks who are looking for granite or other stones. We started this whole thing on a small scale and just kept going year after year. Working with stone is heavy, physical labor, so there is always a lot of sweat and lifting involved. We see a lot of people coming in with their notebooks and tape measures, trying to figure out what will fit their kitchen or their floors. We don't use any fancy sales tactics or push people to buy things they don't need. We just show them what we have in the back and talk about the prices. Natural stone always has variations in color and pattern, so we try to make sure people understand that before they buy. Our office in Gk-1 is pretty small and usually has samples leaning against the walls and papers scattered around. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is when we need it. We just care about getting the right slabs to the job sites when we said we would. Most of our work comes from people telling their friends about us, which we appreciate. It’s a tough business, but we enjoy the work and the people we meet. We aren't interested in being corporate; we just want to do the job right.
