Our office is up on the 4th floor of Pearl Best Heights, which is right in the middle of Netaji Subhash Place in Pitampura. If you have ever been to this part of Delhi, you know how crowded it gets with all the cars and people moving around. We work at Srv Damage Prevention, so our whole day is basically looking at how to stop things from getting smashed up when they are being shipped. It is a practical kind of job. We look at packing materials, straps, and how things are loaded into trucks or ships. You would be surprised how many things can go wrong if you do not secure a pallet correctly. The building itself is busy, and we share the floor with a few other companies. We usually get in early before the traffic really hits its peak on the main road. Most of our work is done on the computer or over the phone, but sometimes we have to go out and look at how things are being handled on-site. It is a lot of checking and double-checking details. We are not a big corporate office with a lobby or anything like that. It is just a few rooms where we keep our files and meet up to discuss the current projects. We have been here for a while and the staff knows the routine well enough by now, so things mostly run okay even when we get a rush.
