Bg Bahavan Granites is on the first floor at 1/1, 2nd Street in V.O.C Nagar, Anna Nagar East. We are right in the middle of a busy residential and commercial mix. Our office handles the granite side of things, and it’s usually filled with samples of different stones. You’ll see slabs leaning against the walls and small cut pieces on the tables. The air often has that faint smell of stone dust. It’s a practical setup where we spend our time talking to suppliers and looking at different batches of material. The street outside is narrow, so it’s always a bit of a scramble when a delivery comes in. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know the difference between the various grades and colors of granite. We drink a lot of coffee while going over the dimensions for the latest orders. The building is simple, and we’ve been here for a while now. We don't really have a polished sales pitch. We just show people what we have in stock and tell them the price. It’s a very direct way of doing business. The neighbors are mostly other small shops or families living in the flats nearby. When we finish for the day, we just lock up the heavy shutters and head home. It’s a steady pace of work in a familiar neighborhood that we have grown quite fond of over the years.
