Marble Mart

Our place, Marble Mart, is right on the Main Chattarpur Road. If you know where the Co Operation Bank is in Satbari, we’re basically right there near it. It’s a busy stretch of road, lots of dust and noise from the trucks going by all day. We deal with marble slabs mostly. It’s heavy work, and our clothes usually end up covered in white dust by the afternoon. We’ve been at this spot for some time now. People usually find us because they’re already in the Satbari area looking for building materials. It’s not a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s more of a practical yard where we keep the stock. Sometimes the bank next door gets really crowded, so parking out front can be a real mess for our visitors. We just spend our hours moving stone and talking to drivers about deliveries. It’s simple work, really. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us making sure the marble doesn't get chipped. The weather can be tough out here on Chattarpur Road, either too hot or raining so hard we have to cover everything up. But we’re used to it by now. It’s just how it is when you’re working with stone near the main road. We just try to keep things moving and help out the people who stop by as best as we can without too much fuss. It's just a local business doing what it does best in Satbari.
