S K Teddy Bear

We run S K Teddy Bear out of Raghubir Nagar, near Tagore Garden. It is a lively neighborhood and our space is usually packed to the ceiling with stuffing, fabric, and half-finished toys. We started this small business because we wanted to make something people enjoy. It is not a big factory or anything, just a local spot where we put things together by hand. You can usually find a few of us sitting around with sewing machines or packing up finished bears into big bags. Raghubir Nagar is a busy place with lots of narrow lanes, and our workshop is right in the thick of it. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped with all the colorful fur and patterns everywhere, but we manage to stay organized. People from the surrounding Tagore Garden area know where we are. We do not have a fancy store front; it is more of a production space. We spend our days cutting patterns and making sure the stitching is tight on every toy. There is always lint on our clothes by the end of the day. It is a simple way to make a living. We have lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the people walking by.
