Proactive Universal Trading Co. (P) Ltd. is over at 1001, Vijaya Building. Being on Barakhamba Road means we are right in the thick of things in Delhi. If you walk from the Barakhamba Metro Station, it’s only a few minutes, though the heat can make it feel longer in the summer months. Our office is way up on the tenth floor. The elevators in this building have seen better days but they still work mostly. We’ve been here for a good while now. The name is a bit of a mouthful, so most of us just say Proactive when we answer the phone. It’s a regular trading office. We have desks piled with papers and some old computers that still do the job. You can hear the city noise even from up here. We don’t really have any fancy brochures or a big reception area with flowers. It’s just a place where we get the day’s work done. Some of the staff have been here since the start and we all know the tea guy downstairs pretty well. There isn't much to say about our history other than we showed up and kept showing up. We deal with whatever trading tasks come across the desk. It’s not always exciting but it’s what we do. The view from 1001 is alright, mostly just other buildings and the traffic below. We just try to keep things moving along without too much fuss or extra talk.
