Our office is at A-262 in New Friends Colony. It is quite close to Escort Hospital, which is a good landmark for people trying to find us. Rekha Rajiv Architect & Associates is basically just a group of us working on building designs and planning stuff. The office feels more like a home than a corporate workplace since it’s in a residential-style building. We have been here for a good amount of time now. The rooms are filled with models and blueprints that we’ve been working on. We don't really have a fancy reception desk or a secretary. You just walk in and someone will be there sitting at a drawing board or a computer. Most of our day is spent debating over small details in a plan or talking to different vendors on the phone. It’s a busy life, but we like the pace of it. The neighborhood is fairly green, which is nice when we need a quick break outside. We handle all sorts of architectural tasks, from the very first sketch to the final check on-site. We don't go for those big speeches about "transforming spaces" or anything. We just try to make things fit and look decent for the people who use them. Sometimes we lose track of time when we are deep into a difficult project. It’s a local business, and we know many of the people around here. We just show up every morning, have our coffee, and get back to the drawings. That is basically the whole story.
