You can find us at Aj Atelier Architects over in Lajpat Nagar 1. We are at H 55, specifically on the lower ground floor. Being in a basement-style office means it stays a bit cooler than the street outside, which is a relief during the Delhi summers. Lajpat Nagar is always buzzing with people and shoppers, though our bit of the street is slightly quieter than the main market. We have our drawing boards and computers set up down here. It is a bit of a small space, but we make it work for us. The walls are mostly covered with sketches and notes. We don't really go for the high-end office look; it’s more about having a spot to sit and think. The address is 110024, and it is a good central location for getting around the city. Sometimes we go out for a quick bite at the local stalls nearby. The light in the LGF isn't always the best, so we have plenty of lamps around our desks. It’s just a few of us here, usually working quietly or arguing over a design detail. We’ve been at this H 55 address for some time now. It feels like home to us. We don't have a big reception area or anyone to open the door, we just answer it ourselves when someone knocks. It’s a very simple, practical way of working without any unnecessary polish. We just keep drawing and planning.
