Ali Raza Architects

We have been running things here at Pul Prahladpur for quite some time now. Our office is tucked away in the Janta Flats at number 716. If you are coming down this way, the best landmark is the police station right nearby. It can get pretty loud with all the sirens and traffic, but we are used to it by now. Ali Raza Architects isn't some massive corporation with a fancy lobby. We just have a few rooms where we keep all our drawing boards and rolls of paper. Most of our days are spent leaning over blueprints or taking calls from contractors who are out on the sites. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back. It's a simple life. The walls of the flat are a bit thin, so we hear the neighbors too. We handle a lot of the local housing work around Delhi. People come by with their ideas scribbled on napkins and we try to turn them into something a builder can actually follow. It takes a lot of patience. We drink a lot of chai from the stall downstairs while we work. The neighborhood is a bit dusty because of all the construction always happening. We don’t really do any big advertising. Usually, someone’s cousin or neighbor tells them about us. We just keep our heads down and get the drawings finished. It's a lot of measuring and double-checking everything.
