Raj Marbles & Granite

We’ve been running Raj Marbles & Granite over at Plot No-97 in Sector-20, Dwarka for a good while now. It’s a busy spot and the yard stays pretty full with all sorts of slabs we bring in. Most days start early, usually with a truck pulling in or the guys getting the water hoses ready. You know how it is with stone, it looks one way when it’s dry and completely different when it’s wet, so we’re always washing things down so people can see the real veins in the marble. Dwarka gets pretty dusty, especially around Sector-20, so keeping the stock clean is a never-ending job. We don’t have a fancy showroom with air conditioning or anything like that. It’s just the plot with the stones stacked up. People come by, walk through the rows, and we talk about what might work for their floors or counters. Sometimes they bring their contractors, other times it’s just a family trying to pick something out for a new house. We handle the loading and make sure things are tied down right before they leave. It is hard work, moving these heavy pieces around without cracking them. We just focus on keeping the yard organized and making sure the stock is actually what we say it is. It’s a straightforward business, really. We’re just here every day at the plot, dealing with the stone and the people who need it.
