Radha Sarweshar Marble & Granite

We’ve been here at Plot No C-66 & 71 for quite a long time now. If you know the Rajouri Garden marble market, you probably know where we are. It’s right on the Ring Road, just opposite the Sujan Singh Gurudwara in Sharda Puri. It gets really noisy with all the trucks and traffic passing by all day, but that’s just how it is in this part of Delhi. We spend most of our mornings moving slabs around and checking the stock that comes in. The yard gets a bit dusty when the wind picks up, but we try to keep things organized so people can see what we have. Most people who stop by are just looking for something specific for their floors or kitchens. Sometimes they know exactly what they want, and other times we just walk around the yard together looking at the different patterns in the stone. It’s hard work, especially when the sun is beating down on the marble, but it’s what we do. My family has been involved in this for years, and we’ve seen the market change a lot. Newer buildings keep going up around us, yet the core of the work stays the same. We just show up every morning, open the gates, and see who needs help with their project. It isn't a fancy office or anything, just a place with lots of stone and some folks who know how to handle it.
