Our place is in Daryaganj, on the first floor at 4638/21 Ansari Road. If you know Delhi, you know Ansari Road is famous for books, but there are plenty of other businesses here like Oriental Shipping Corporation. It’s a busy, cramped street where finding parking is a miracle most days. Our office is a simple one. We don't have any big signs or glass walls. It’s just a room where we manage shipping and logistics. Most of our day is spent on the phone or working through stacks of documents. We deal with moving goods across the country and overseas. It’s a lot of coordinating with trucks and rail and then the ports. Daryaganj has a certain energy, and our office is part of that. It’s noisy outside, but we’re used to the sounds of the market. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. We’re a small team that knows the shipping business inside and out. We don’t have any polished mission statements. We just focus on the task at hand, which is usually trying to find a container or figuring out why a shipment is stuck at a border. It’s practical work and it’s what we’ve been doing for years. People around here know us, and we like being part of this old neighborhood. It’s a bit messy and loud sometimes, but it’s where we get the work done. It is just life in the city.
