Mukteshwar Marbles

You can find us at Plot No. 81 in Sector-20 of Dwarka. We are right near the service centre, so it is usually easy for people to spot the yard. Dwarka has grown so much, and we have seen a lot of houses go up around here. Dealing with marble is heavy work. Every day involves a lot of careful lifting and moving slabs so they don’t crack. It’s not like other businesses where things are light. Here, everything weighs a ton. We spend a lot of time out in the open, checking the grain and the patterns on the marble pieces we have in stock. The city noise is always there in the background, but we get used to it. Sometimes customers come in with very specific ideas, and we just show them what we have on the lot. It’s a lot of walking back and forth between the stacks. We try to keep the place somewhat tidy, but stone chips and dust are everywhere. It’s just me and a couple of guys usually, making sure the orders are ready for the trucks. It isn't a glamorous job, but there is something nice about seeing a good piece of stone. We just stay focused on the daily tasks and make sure the yard stays running. It gets tiring by the end of the day, but that is the nature of the business.
