Our place, Stonex India Pvt. Ltd., is at WZ-29 in Mansarovar Garden, right along the Ring Road. If you’ve ever driven that stretch of the Ring Road, you know exactly where we are. The traffic is relentless, and the noise of the trucks and cars is something we’ve just learned to ignore over the years. Our building is a big part of the daily grind here. We have a lot of space, which is necessary when you’re dealing with the volume of stone we handle. It’s a practical environment. We don't spend money on fancy decorations that don't help the work get done. Most of our time is spent in the warehouse area, checking slabs as they come off the trucks or getting them ready for delivery to a site. It’s a lot of physical labor, and by the end of the shift, everyone is usually pretty tired. Mansarovar Garden has a lot of businesses like ours, so there’s a sense of being in a hub for this kind of work. We aren't here to sell you a dream; we’re just here to provide the material you asked for. We keep the floor as clean as we can, but stone is naturally messy and leaves a lot of dust. The staff here is mostly local guys who know the Ring Road shortcuts to get home. We open up, do the work, and head home when the sun goes down. It’s a simple way to make a living.
