Majestic Marble

If you go down Chhaterpur Mandir Road, you will find Majestic Marble at Khasra No- 309. We are really close to Aggarwal Sweets, so the smell of food is often in the air. This part of Chatterpur is always crowded because of the temple nearby. There are cars and rickshaws everywhere. Our yard is filled with marble of all kinds. We have big slabs leaning against each other. It looks like a maze sometimes. We spend the day moving these heavy pieces so people can see the patterns. The white dust from the marble gets on everything, including our clothes and the trees outside. It is just the way it is when you work with stone. We have a small area where we sit, but mostly we are out on the floor. The traffic on Mandir Road never seems to stop. We have to be careful when trucks are pulling in because the road is so busy. We just focus on the marble and getting it ready for the customers. It is a lot of physical work, lifting and shifting things around. Sometimes the heat makes it tough, but we just keep going. We have been at Khasra No- 309 for a long time. People know us by the stacks of stone and the noise of the machines. It is a busy life for us here on the road.
