Keshav Electronics

Keshav Electronics is tucked away in the Old Lajpat Rai Market at Shop No 542. If you have ever been to this market, you know it is a maze of narrow lanes and hundreds of shops selling every kind of wire and chip you can think of. Our shop is no different; it is packed from floor to ceiling with boxes. We have been here for years, and it is a bit of a tight squeeze when customers come in. Most of the time, we are dealing with people who are looking for specific spare parts or wholesale components for their own businesses. The market is always loud, with people shouting and carts being pushed through the crowds, so you have to speak up to be heard. We don't have a computer system that tracks everything perfectly, so we mostly rely on knowing where we put things on the shelves. It is dusty and the lighting is a bit dim in the back, but we know our way around. We spend our days drinking tea and talking to the other shopkeepers when it is slow, then rushing to find parts when a big order comes in. It is a traditional way of doing business in Delhi. We don't have any fancy displays, just the parts that people need to fix their televisions or radios. It is a busy life but we wouldn't know what else to do.
