R. K. Handlooms

Our shop is at No. 23/2745 in Beadon Pura, which is right in the heart of Karol Bagh. If you know Karol Bagh, you know how crowded and lively it gets. Beadon Pura is no different. R. K. Handlooms has been here for a good while, tucked away among all the other shops and vendors. We have a lot of hand-loomed goods piled up on the shelves. It’s a bit cramped inside, but that’s just the way things are in this part of town. We open up early and stay late most nights because there is always someone looking for something specific. We don’t have any fancy displays or bright lights. Most of our customers are people who live nearby or who have been coming to Karol Bagh for decades. We talk to them about their families and the weather while we show them the fabrics. It is a very personal way of doing business, and we wouldn't know how to do it any other way. The street outside is always full of people, and the sounds of horns and shouting are just the background music to our day. We just try to keep the shop organized and help people as they come in. It is a simple life, but it keeps us connected to the neighborhood. We usually close for a short break in the afternoon to have some tea and snacks from the vendor across the street.
