Handloom Overseas India

Handloom Overseas India is located in Okhla Indl. Area Phase-ii, specifically at E-45/6. Being in an industrial area means it is always a bit gritty and loud with all the machinery and trucks nearby. Our unit is mostly a warehouse and a small office space carved out in the corner. There are boxes stacked up everywhere, some filled with finished goods and others waiting to be packed. We have large metal fans on the ceiling that hum all day long, trying to move the heavy air around. The lighting isn't great, but we have some bright lamps over the inspection tables where we check the weaving. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to for a fancy shopping experience. It’s a working warehouse where people are always busy with tape dispensers and clipboards. We have a few plastic chairs for visitors, but they usually end up holding someone's lunch bag or a pile of folders. The stairs up to the small mezzanine are a bit steep and creak when you walk on them. We spend a lot of our time checking shipping labels and making sure the counts are right. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of it. By the time we leave in the evening, the whole area is starting to quiet down, and we just head home to do it all again the next day. It is just honest work in a busy industrial hub.
