You can find Paisley Weaves Inc. at 12/10 W. E. A. in Karol Bagh. This part of Delhi is always moving, and we’re right in the middle of all the noise. We do a lot of weaving here. The machines make a constant humming sound that you eventually stop hearing after a few years of being around it. It’s a lot of work keeping everything straight and making sure the threads don't tangle. Karol Bagh is known for being crowded, and our street is no different. There are always people walking by and cars honking at each other. Our building is a bit older, with stairs that are starting to show their age and a bit of wear. We don’t have a big shiny office or anything like that. It’s mostly just the work area and a small corner where we keep the records on a dusty desk. We handle the threads and the patterns ourselves. Some days are better than others, depending on how the equipment is behaving that day. We aren’t interested in making things look perfect for visitors. We just want the weaving to be right. It’s an honest living and we’ve been at it for a while now. The W. E. A. area has changed a lot since we started, but we just keep doing what we know.
