Jai Hind Marbles

Jai Hind Marbles has been over here in Kirti Nagar at Plot No-A-2/28,29 for quite a while. This part of Delhi is always crowded and the streets are narrow, especially when you are trying to move big marble slabs. The W.H.S. area is full of other businesses too, so there is always a lot of shouting and horns honking. Our place is packed with marble pieces of all sizes. It gets very dusty inside and out, so we are always dusting off the surfaces so people can see the patterns. It is hard work and my clothes are usually covered in white marble dust by the end of the shift. We drink a lot of tea from the local guy while we wait for deliveries. The slabs are heavy and cold, and moving them requires everyone to pitch in. We don't have a slick showroom, just the warehouse where the stone is kept. It’s a real working environment with no frills. You have to watch your step with all the scraps and pieces on the floor. People find us because we have been in the same spot for years. We just show up, move the marble, and go home tired. It is an honest living and we are just part of the furniture in this neighborhood now.
