Invent Interiors

We’ve been at 1C/52 in Ramesh Nagar for a while now. It’s a busy spot, especially being so close to the Namdhari Gurudwara, so there is always something going on outside our door. Most days, we are just here working through whatever project is currently on the table. It gets a bit cluttered in the office with samples and drawings everywhere, but that’s just how we work best. People usually find us because they live in Delhi and need some help with their space. We aren't a big firm with fancy receptionists or anything like that. It's just us. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it’s quiet enough to actually get some drawing done. We try to keep things straightforward. If someone walks in, we just talk to them like normal people. Ramesh Nagar is a good neighborhood, very central for us. We know the local shops and the guys around the corner. It's not always perfect here—the coffee machine acts up sometimes and the filing system is mostly in my head—but we get the job done. Dealing with interiors means a lot of back and forth with vendors and checking on things constantly. It's a lot of legwork, really. We spend half our time on-site and the other half here at the desk. It’s what we do. No big mystery to it. We just show up every morning and see what needs fixing or finishing.
